The Scarlet & Violet - Temporal Forces expansion has brought players many new decks and here are the top 5 best decks from Temporal Forces.

On March 22, Temporal Forces was released. It has introduced new cards and mechanics that have changed the Pokemon TCG meta. There are five new decks to enter the Pokemon TCG from Temporal Forces. These are the five best decks from Temporal Forces.

These decks are in the early stages and not yet final. However, their archetypes and core cards remain consistent across all versions.

5 Gengar ex Deck

Gengar ex is the fifth-best deck from Temporal Forces. The Gengar ex deck is fun but won't be competitively viable. The deck damages the opponent’s Pokemon every time they attach energy. So this deck’s priority is to force the opponent to attach as much energy throughout the game to maximise damage.

Gengar ex is the primary card in this deck because of its ability to damage an opponent’s Pokemon when they attach energy to it. Gengar also has an attack called Tricky Steps. Tricky Steps 160 damage and forces energy from the opponent’s active Pokemon to one of their benched Pokemon. Using this attack, you could quickly scatter their energy onto weaker Pokemon.

The Gengar EX deck utilizes cards such as Giovanni's Charisma and Crushing Hammer to discard energy from your opponent's active Pokemon. This will force them to reattach more energy and take more damage. Giovanni’s charisma also accelerates energy to your active Pokemon when used.

Gengar ex is an average deck that won't be super popular.

4 Ancient Box Deck

The 4th best Temporal Forces deck is Ancient Box. Ancient Box uses Ancient Pokemon and trainers from Temporal Forces and Paradox Rift. The deck uses Roaring Moon and Koraidon as single-prize card attackers. This Ancient Box also uses Flutter Moon as an additional attacker.

Koraidon’s main attack does 30 damage for each Ancient Pokemon in play. Roaring Moon’s main attack does 70 damage and an additional 10 for each Ancient card in the discard pile. In the beginning, Koraidon should be your attacker. However, as you discard Ancient cards, you will want to transition to Roaring Moon.

For Energy acceleration use Professor Sada’s Vitality. To discard energy or Ancient cards: use Radiant Greninja, Explorer’s Guidance, Ultra Ball and others. Ancient Box has a lot of potential. I’m excited to see how it does. Ancient Box also includes four Ancient Booster Energy Capsules to boost the HP of our single prize card attackers by 60 HP.

3 Raging Bolt ex Deck

Raging Bolt ex is a decent deck from Temporal Forces. This deck focuses on powering Raging Bolt ex’s attack to deal maximum damage. The attack, Bellowing Thunder, does 70 damage for each energy card you discard from a Pokemon. With five energy, you can deal 350 damage. Enough to knock out anything. Energy Acceleration is essential in the Raging Bolt ex deck. To discard energy use Radiant Greninja, Ultra Ball and Earthen Vessel. Then Professor Sada’s Vitality and Sandy Shocks ex will accelerate the energy onto our Pokemon. Powering Bellowing Thunder.

The Raging Bolt EX deck includes Koraidon, Mew EX, and Sandy Shocks EX as backup attackers. For the beginning of the game, I recommend using Koraidon. This deck is fun to play but will not be very viable in tournaments.

2 Dialga Vstar (Metang) Deck

The Dialga Vstar deck from Temporal Forces is considered the second most powerful due to its ability to move energy onto Dialga Vstar using Metangs. However, even this deck from Temporal Forces won't be strong enough to be super competitive. The main attacker in this deck is Dialga Vstar, which has a powerful attack that deals 40 damage for each metal energy attached to it. The V-star ability is particularly strong, allowing you to deal 220 damage and take another turn. This is a highly effective strategy in the current meta.

To power Dialga Vstar we rely on Metang. Metang’s ability is Metal Maker, which lets you look at the top 4 cards in your deck and any Metal energy you find you can place on any Pokemon. This combination allows you to quickly gain a lot of energy. It works well with Ciphermaniac's codebreaking ability, which lets you choose two cards to place on top of your deck. We can recover energy from the discard pile by using Squawkabilly ex and Super Rod.

The Dialga Metang deck has potential. I’m incredibly excited to see how it performs at up-and-coming tournaments in the Pokemon TCG.

Iron Hands ex Future Box Deck Deck Archetype Temporal Forces
Iron Hands ex Future Box Deck Deck Archetype Temporal Forces

1 Iron Hands ex Future Box Deck

Future Box is the best Temporal Forces deck that focuses on Future Pokemon and boosting the damage of all attacks. Future Box uses Miraidon as the early game attacker because its attack has a low attack cost, deals four damage and lets you search your deck for two energy and place them on your Future Pokemon.

The deck's main attacker is Iron Hands ex. Iron Hands ex has two great attacks and hits many Pokemon for weakness. Arm Press deals 160 damage for 3 energy and Amp You Very Much deals 120 damage but if used to knock out a Pokemon, it will give you an additional Prize card. However, this doesn't do enough damage. So we have a few extra cards to help.

Future Box also uses Iron Crown ex. Iron Crown ex’s ability, Cobalt Command, increases the attack damage of all of your Future Pokemon by 20. This ability does stack and can increase the damage by a lot. In addition to Iron Crown ex, we can use Future Booster Energy Capsule to remove retreat costs and increase damage by 20.

To accelerate Energy this deck uses Electric Generator, Reboot Pod and Miraidon. These 3 cards can accelerate more than enough energy to Iron Hands ex to start attacking quickly.

The Future Box deck is great and will likely be used in tournaments soon. Iron Hands ex Future Box might be the only deck from Temporal Forces to see prominence in the competitive scene.
