Updated Lugia Vstar Deck Guide

Lugia Vstar is a deck focused on Normal types and single-prize card attackers. The star card in this deck, Lugia Vstar, is not meant to be used as an attacker. Instead, Lugia Vstar allows us to place our attackers on the bench from the discard pile. This deck’s main attacker is Cinccino, who can do 70 damage for each special energy card attached. If you attach 5 Special Energy cards to Cinccino, you can deal 350 damage, Knocking out even strong cards such as Charizard EX.

We have Snorlax as a decent attacker, and Archeops can draw two Special energies per turn to attach to Snorlax or Cinccino. This deck uses multiple cards that benefit from Special energy cards, so we haven’t got a single energy card. The updated Lugia Vstar deck in Temporal Forces is as strong as ever, thanks to the new Cinccino card. Here is the Decklist to help you understand the updated deck.

Key Cards In Lugia Vstar Deck

Lugia Vstar is a crucial card that allows us to draw Normal Pokemon into our deck and, if needed, deal significant damage. Lugia Vstar’s role in this deck is to quickly get 2 Normal Pokemon into our bench by using Summoning Star. Players use this ability to search for two Archeops cards to accelerate four Special Energy cards per turn. Lugia Vstar can be an additional attacker with a strong attack that deals 220 damage.

Archeops is an essential card for its ability, Primal Turbo, which lets you draw 2 Special Energy cards and attach them to a card. This ability has no cost and stacks with each Archeops. This card aids Cinccino in attacking for large amounts of damage. With the addition of Special Energy Cards like Double Turbo Energy, you can accelerate up to the equivalent of 4 energy per Archeops.

Once during your turn, you may search your deck for up to 2 Special Energy cards and attach them to 1 of your Pokemon. Then, shuffle your deck.

Archeops

Cinccino is the primary attacker in this deck because its attack deals 70 damage for each Special Energy card attached to it. By using Archeops, you can quickly place Special Energy on Cinccino. With only 5 this card can deal 350 damage which is enough to knockout top cards like Charizard ex.

Cinccino's pre-evolution, Minccino, can use Call for Family to search your deck for two basic Pokémon and put them onto your bench. Cinccino is essential to the deck and Archeops can quickly obliterate decks.

Cinccino

There are 16 Special energy cards, each with a unique ability that benefits the deck. The deck consists of 6 different types of Special energy. By utilising Special Energy cards, we can leverage the power of Cinccino's attack and Archeops' ability. These are the Special Energy cards and what they do:

  • Double Turbo Energy: This card represents two colourless energy but all attacks from the Pokemon this card is attached to will do 20 less damage.

  • Gift Energy: This card provides one colourless energy. If the Pokemon it is attached to is KO. Draw cards until you have seven in your hand.

  • Jet Energy: Jet Energy represents one colourless energy. However, when placed on a benched Pokemon switch that Pokemon with your Active Pokemon.

  • Mist Energy: Mist Energy represents one colourless energy. Mist Energy can prevent any effects caused by an opponent.

  • V Guard Energy: V Guard Energy provides one colourless energy. This card reduces damage from an opposing V Pokemon by 30 damage. This effect can only be used more than once at a time on the same Pokemon.

  • Therapeutic Energy: Therapeutic Energy provides one colourless energy. The Pokemon this card is attached to will recover from being Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed and is unable to be affected by these conditions.

Special Energy

Snorlax is an excellent backup attacker due to its immunity to effects caused by the opponent's Pokemon and its powerful attack, Thumping Snore. This attack deals 150 damage for just three colourless energy. One Archeops with a Double Turbo energy can provide this requirement. However, Snorlax will fall asleep after using this attack. To prevent this, you can use Therapeutic Energy.

If you want to play the Lugia Vstar deck, your best bet is to equip Cinccino with Special Energy Cards to defeat opposing Pokemon. You should have access to Archeops to power up your attacks, and you should also have a backup attacker in the form of Snorlax, another Cinccino, or Lugia Vstar.

To accelerate Special energy cards, use Lugia Vstar to find 2 discarded Archeops. Then accelerate two Special energies to a Pokemon per Archeops every turn. With the addition of double turbo energy, you can attack very quickly. If you have a lot of Special Energy cards in your hand, you can use Iono. During the game, keep your Special Energy cards in the deck.

To draw Pokemon, you can use Ultra Ball, Great Ball, Capturing Aroma and Master Ball. These cards should help you find whatever Pokemon you need throughout the game.

Throughout the game, try to take advantage of Special Energy Cards by using Therapeutic Energy on Snorlax or by using V Guard Energy on Lugia V.

How To Play Lugia Vstar Temporal Forces Deck

A strong starting hand in an updated Lugia Vstar deck should include a basic attacker, cards that help us discard and cards that help us evolve Lugia V and Minccino.

  • Snorlax

  • Archeops

  • Double Turbo Energy

  • Capturing Aroma

  • Ultra Ball

  • Lugia V

  • Gift Energy

Firstly, use Snorlax as your attacker and move Lugia V to the bench. Then use Capturing Aroma and say you flip heads. Find Archeops in your deck. Then use Ultra Ball to discard both Archeops cards and I’d recommend drawing a Minccino and moving it to the bench.

Next turn, we need to evolve Lugia Vstar and Minccino. If you haven’t already found either of their evolutions then you will very likely find cards that will help you find them. As soon as you do you can use Summoning Star to place 2 Archeops on the bench. As soon as you do you can accelerate up to 4 Special Energy cards per turn.

You can then switch Cinccino with Snorlax by using a Jet Energy card. Allowing Cinccino to attack for unbelievably high damage. As the game progresses try to get another Cinccino on the bench ready or another attacker like Snorlax.
