Scarlet & Violet has been a series full of beautiful illustrations, new Paradox Pokemon and fascinating decks. Scarlet & Violet has focused on reinventing the Pokemon TCG. By introducing a new rarity system, the Pokemon TCG has moved its attention towards Special Illustration cards, the most stunning cards fans have ever enjoyed.
The competitive scene has seen new Paradox Pokemon, Future and Ancient box decks and an exciting new meta. The 10 Most Expensive Scarlet & Violet Series Cards
Venusaur ex grew in value due to its beautiful artwork and iconic status in the Pokemon community. Scarlet 151 gave classic Pokemon a new illustration, including this Venusaur. Venusaur is one of the three final starter evolutions in the Kanto region and is the third Pokemon in the Pokedex.
Tranquil Flower heals 60 damage to one of your Pokemon. The ability is good, but the card gets hurt by its attack. Dangerous Toxwhip confuses and poisons the opposing Pokemon but deals a low 150 damage. Venusaur's ex has a fun deck but is average at best.
In my opinion, the artwork is good. In the illustration, we can see a Venusaur surrounded by vegetation and flowers. The concept matches the Pokemon perfectly but the execution lacks depth and detail. Veunusaur is an iconic card and is the 10th most expensive in the series.

10 Venusaur ex (Special Illustration Rare) #198
Blastoise Ex is very expensive because of its incredible popularity in the Pokemon community, remarkable illustration and Blastoise’s capable moveset. Firstly, a prototype Blastoise card was the first Pokemon Card ever created and helped kick off the Pokemon TCG as we know it. Blastoise is also one of the most famous Pokemon and is a favourite final evolution starter for many fans.
This Special Illustration is perfect. I love how the illustration gives Blastoise incredible depth and detail. Compared to the flat feel of the Venusaur ex card. On the card, we see Blastoise calmly sinking in the Ocean.
The card’s attacks are decent. Solid Shell, reduces damage by 30. And the attack, Twin Cannons, does 140 damage for each Water energy you discard up to 280. Blastoise ex has high HP, takes less damage, and can deal up to 280 damage with one attack. That is quite strong. The card has a deck built around it called the Blastoise ex deck. However, it isn't that competitive.

9 Blastoise ex (Special Illustration Rare) #200
This Charizard ex from Obsidian Flames has a high value because of its illustration representing the terra-typing of the card and Charizard ex’s dominance in its current deck. Charizard needs no introduction as the 2nd most popular Pokemon after Pikachu and an iconic Pokemon in the TCG because of its history of expensive cards.
The Charizard ex-Special Illustration Rare from the Obsidian Flames set has cool artwork. This illustration differs from others with its crystal design which is common in terra-type Pokemon. The card depicts Charizard standing at full strength with a crystal crown. You have to admit this is very epic.
In the competitive scene, the Charizard ex-deck is easily the most dominant and has taken top spots in numerous tournaments.

Gardevoir ex is the most popular card from the Hoenn region and has incredible artwork and moveset, which is why the card has a high value. Gardevoir ex is one of the popular shiny illustration rares in Paldean Fates. This card has a majestic artwork which compliments Gardevoir’s blue colour. On the card, you can see Gardevior wandering through a forest illuminated by blue moonlight seeping through the trees.
Gardevoir's card has an ability which can accelerate energy to Pokemon for two damage counters. It deals 190 damage and can heal itself of any special conditions. Gardevoir ex is a valuable card in the Gardevoir ex deck.

The illustration is extraordinary, it's drawn by the same artist who created the popular Giratina V card. I love the faint Gyarados that float above the Magikarp. Representing what it will become. This card makes Magikarp even more lovable making it the 5th most valuable card in the Scarlet & Violet series.
