The upcoming Paldean Fates isn't a typical set with booster packs. It's a special release, making the Elite Trainer Box your best bet. Inside, you'll find an awesome shiny Mimikyu promo card plus all the usual additions like card sleeves, dice, and more.

Paldean Fates ETB Pros and Cons
Paldean Fates ETB Pros and Cons

Here are the Pros and Cons of the Latest Scarlet & Violet expansion, Paldean Fates.

Pros

Paldean Fates is a great set - This expansion will be breathtaking. It will be one of a few Shiny sets which have all performed well in the past. Fans are hyped for the cards we can expect in these booster packs.

Good Option - Due to the lack of Paldean Fates Booster packs, this ETB will be a good option to open this new set.

Amazing Chase Cards - The Chase cards in Paldean Fates will be world-class. With Shiny Special Illustration Charizard being at the very peak.

Good Value - The ETB has a great price per pack value. This value is even better considering the significance of the Paldean Fates set.

Cons

Cheaper Alternatives - Whilst great value for this set, there are cheaper alternatives. For example, the most recent Paradox Rift ETB has crashed to $39/$40. And can be purchased for less.

No Original Cards - The cards in Paldean Fates are shiny reprints of past cards in Scarlet & Violet.

Paldean Fates ETB Pros & Cons

Paldean Fates will boast the best chase cards in years. Pokemon TCG Veterans are calling the Special Illustration cards the best looking in the history of the Pokemon TCG. The main Chase Cards are Charizard ex-SIR, Gardevoir ex-SIR, Mew ex-SIR and Iono SIR. Check out are Card List for Shiny Treasure ex and Paldean Fates to see all the cards you can expect.

Paldean Fates Chase Cards

Charizard ex (Special Illustration Rare)

Shiny Charizards have a track record of being the most valuable cards in sets like Shining and Hidden Fates. Can history repeat itself with this beauty in Paldean Fates? I wouldn't bet against it!

Gardevoir ex (Special Illustration Rare)

The original Gardevoir ex is heavily popular for its use in the Gardevoir ex deck. This Pokemon is also a fan favourite. And will be sure to be very valuable.

Mew ex (Special Illustration Rare)

This Mew card is my favourite. Emerging from a watery bubble, it's a stunning tribute to the first Pokemon movie. This emotional artwork is sure to be popular with fans.

Iono (Special Illustrator Rare)

Iono is a meta-changing card used in elite decks. Wanted by both collectors and players. This card has nice artwork with a stunning sunset in the background. And like its predecessor, it is sure to do well upon release.
